Canfield Solitaire
How to Win at Canfield Solitaire Like a Pro
Ready to try your luck with Canfield Solitaire? This classic solo card game uses a standard deck of 52 and starts with a setup that’s half strategy, half chance. You deal 13 cards face-down into a reserve pile (peek at the top one), then place one card face-up as your first foundation, setting its rank as the base, like a 5 means you’ll build 5, 6, 7, up to King, then Ace to 4. Next, deal four tableau piles with one face-up card each, and the rest of the deck becomes your stock.
The aim is to build all four foundations up by suit in sequence, wrapping around from King to Ace if needed. From the tableau, you can move cards to the foundations if they fit, or stack them downward in alternating colors, like a red 8 on a black 9, to free up space. Flip through the stock three cards at a time, using what you can, and dip into the reserve when you’re stuck. It’s a fast, tricky game that’s great for sharpening your focus. Can you beat the odds and clear the table?
