How to Play Yukon Solitaire and Tame the Wild Deck
Ready to wrangle Yukon Solitaire? This solo card game uses a standard deck of 52 and throws a rugged twist on Klondike. You deal seven tableau piles left to right: the first has one card face-up, the second has six cards (top one face-up), the third has seven, and so on, up to eleven cards in the seventh pile, all 52 cards laid out with no stock pile in sight. Your goal is to build four foundation piles, one per suit, from Ace up to King.
Here’s how you play: any face-up card can move to a foundation if it fits, or stack it on another tableau card one rank higher and opposite in color—like a red 6 on a black 7—taking all cards above it along, even if they’re not in order. Flip over face-down cards as you uncover them, and if a pile empties, only a King (with its stack) can fill it. With no stock to lean on, it’s all about working what’s on the table, blending strategy and a touch of chaos, perfect for a gritty solo challenge. Can you herd all four suits into the foundations and win?
